Doggie Diet Perfect Weight Win

We had a great summer with lots of doggie training. Unfortunately this led to an explosion of calorie intake, now I'm wrestling how to get the weight back down. My dogs are standard (rat) terrier/ small breed. For a small dog, carrying an extra 1Lb is a really big deal!! I began research on dogfood choices for calorie content (Thank you Chewy for posting Nutritional Info Tab on pet food !!!) but quickly realized shy of a prescriptive diet the choices were few. Hills Science Diet stood out to me for small breeds. I started Ava's diet change in July but saw no significant change until mid-September when I switched Ava to Hills Perfect Weight. Ava is down 1.2 lb after approx. 60 days (2.75 lbs We had a great summer with lots of doggie training. They get fed 2x per day mixed with wet food, quantity as discussed with my vet. I also like the pellet size of the kibble. I've been able to switch out high calorie treats and use the kibble instead as rewards in toys and puzzles. great item! and very fast delivery! Our dogs lost weight on this dog food. would highly recommend it for any dog that needs to watch weight for their health (like our dogs - dachshunds)! Chewy is a great site to order from. would recommend again and again. Our vet recommended science diet for our dogs as well. I've ordered additional dog food and got dog treats as well.

It's clients like me who screws up orders....I forgot that I had switched to this food - so I received another bag a week later....now I have to figure out how to stop this order....HELP. lol I will be calling Customer Service soon. Hi, My Papillon loves the taste of this food. He happily eats it and licks the bowl. The only concern I have is that the kibble bits are very small and there is not much chewing surface to help keep his teeth clean. But, I am delighted to have something he eats!

Never Again in my house

I bought this food as an alternative the my pets previous food that apparently is no longer available. My dogs eat it only because they feel its this or nothing and I feel bad for them. The food smells like soy sauce and burnt. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOOD AT ALL. As soon as I put this food down they look at it smell it and nibble around. It takes them soo long to finish because they really dont like it. I used to feed them a different Weight Control food and they loved it but its not available anymore. I give it one star because I can't give it zero.

Trying for my pudgy boy

When my 2-year-old mini schnauzer was old enough for adult food I thought I would try raw. I fed him raw patties. Well my vet said they are very rich and I learned that the hard way because my boy is now in need of losing a couple pounds. So rather than pay the money for the more expensive veterinary diet I thought we would try this one. So far it's too early to tell if he's losing weight but he does like it, and I like the small kibble. I know both of us need to exercise more so that's the next step.

My senior small pup has missing teeth so sometimes it's hard for her to eat her kibble without it being softened. This Kibble is a perfect size and doesn't require a lot of 'chewing' and she seems to like the flavor.
